Projects and times: linking commitment to management activities

A time record becomes useful when it indicates which job it refers to. Projects and activities allow you to read the commitment in its context and follow its distribution.

Projects and operational connections

  1. Open Projects and identify the work context of the company or client.
  2. Fill in or consult objectives, managers, dates and related subjects.
  3. Associate relevant documents and tasks to bring work together in the same project.
  4. Follow the status and deadlines without confusing an operational project with just the business opportunity.

Record times on activities

  1. Open the project task you actually worked on.
  2. Enter the date, duration and description of the time according to the functions and permissions available.
  3. Please ensure you do not duplicate a recording and maintain the link to the correct activity.
  4. Consult project summaries distinguishing expected time and actual recorded time.

Putting this into practice

Before recording hours, identify the correct task, period, and project. A summary note on the work carried out helps to interpret the data during the review.
