Private documents: update and search without losing context

Updating a confidential file requires recognizing the document and its version, maintaining the security path Private. Search also follows the context of the catalog unlocked in the browser.

Update a Private version

  1. Select the Private document to update and identify its current version.
  2. Prepare the updated file using the expected device and permissions.
  3. Confirm the new publication and read the outcome; if the current reference has changed, reload before trying again.
  4. Reopen the document from the catalog and compare the contents with the update you just sent.

Private search in your browser

  1. Unlock the catalog or import the private containers you want to include in the search.
  2. Enter the words to search for in the private search panel.
  3. Read the local results and open the corresponding document to check the context.
  4. Remember that the search is for uploaded and unlocked content; when finished use Block private search.

Putting this into practice

Before publishing a revision, compare it to the current reference. After the update, reopen the document and verify that the expected content is available on the authorized device.
