Updating a confidential file requires recognizing the document and its version, maintaining the security path Private. Search also follows the context of the catalog unlocked in the browser.
Update a Private version
- Select the Private document to update and identify its current version.
- Prepare the updated file using the expected device and permissions.
- Confirm the new publication and read the outcome; if the current reference has changed, reload before trying again.
- Reopen the document from the catalog and compare the contents with the update you just sent.
Private search in your browser
- Unlock the catalog or import the private containers you want to include in the search.
- Enter the words to search for in the private search panel.
- Read the local results and open the corresponding document to check the context.
- Remember that the search is for uploaded and unlocked content; when finished use Block private search.
Putting this into practice
Before publishing a revision, compare it to the current reference. After the update, reopen the document and verify that the expected content is available on the authorized device.
