Editorial plan in CSV: import content with stable references

A shared plan is easier to manage when each piece of content has a consistent identifier and fields. Social Publisher uses CSV to bring dates, channels and copy into the system to organize in the calendar.

Prepare the CSV file

  1. Open Import and read the file requirements before exporting the plan from the spreadsheet.
  2. Use the semicolon as a separator and include Content_ID, Date, Time, Channel, and Copy.
  3. Add optional template fields such as theme, pillar, format, and visual brief as needed.
  4. Check a sample line, uniqueness of the identifier and matching of supported channels.

Import the editorial plan

  1. Open Import and select the CSV prepared according to the template.
  2. Make a conscious choice whether to update existing identifiers or keep existing elements.
  3. Start the import and read the summary and any messages about the rows that were not accepted.
  4. Open Contents and check the date, channel and text of imported items before approving them.

Putting this into practice

Before importing, check the expected headers and separator, then check a sample of the imported content. A well-structured line avoids repeated corrections downstream.
