The transition from quote to order is clearer when it retains the offer references. Quantity, conditions and recipient must be checked in the document that starts the operational work.
Prepare a customer quote
- Open the correct customer and create a new business proposal.
- Enter products or services, quantities, prices, discounts and conditions consistent with the request.
- Check validity, recipients, currency and project links when applicable.
- Save the draft and re-read the preview and totals before validation.
Sales order and quote link
- Open the customer and the proposal from which the order originates, if available.
- Create the order with the expected link or prepare a direct draft in the correct context.
- Check customer references, lines, delivery, conditions and amounts.
- Valid according to company authorizations and consult the linked documents for operational follow-up.
Putting this into practice
After accepting an offer, check the customer reference and affected lines before creating the order. Re-read the new document to recognize any differences.
