Scheduling maintenance around team workloads

An assigned date does not guarantee that an intervention will be feasible. Planning must keep priorities, availability and existing load together, making the consequences of rescheduling visible.

Planning and assignment

  1. Evaluate priority, deadline and operational impact.
  2. Identify the specialties and resources needed.
  3. Assign a realistic date and check for overlaps or excessive loads.
  4. Confirm the schedule and communicate any constraints.

Workload and rescheduling

  1. Open the workload view and set the period to analyze.
  2. Identify overlaps, saturated resources and overdue tasks.
  3. Evaluate the consequences of the shift on priorities and deadlines.
  4. Reschedule and recheck the updated load.

Putting this into practice

If an emergency arises, check which jobs occupy the same resources before moving them. Update the plan and make the new order of activities recognizable.
