Confidentiality requires keeping the list of who can open documents updated. In the Private workflow, recipients and devices must be managed together, verifying which accesses remain authorized.
Register and approve a device
- Choose the correct subscription and start device registration.
- Complete the test requested by the interface to demonstrate possession of the keys.
- Compare the device fingerprint with the responsible party through an independent channel.
- Wait for expected approval before using operations that require a verified device.
Recipients, devices and revocations
- Identifies the person and device that should receive access to the document.
- Check the verified fingerprint and the link between device, user and subscription.
- Use the intended assignment path and proofread recipients before confirming.
- When a device is no longer authorized, apply the intended revocation and separately consider copies that were already opened.
Putting this into practice
When a collaborator changes roles, review the recipients and devices involved. The revocation reduces the subsequent accesses foreseen by the system, but does not delete copies already obtained by those who were authorized.
